Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounting and financial reporting and operating functions of the company, including preparing and presenting financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports as required

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments

  • Assists in the annual audit process, including working with external auditors and tax preparers to ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices

  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and safeguard the company's assets

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that financial data is accurate and consistent across the organization

  • Provide financial guidance and support to management on key business decisions, including investments, acquisitions, and divestitures

  • Manage PH-based accountants, review and own processes and work output

  • Stay up-to-date with changing accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements and ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a global or big company

  • CPA is required; MBA is a plus; other certifications are welcome

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including US GAAP and IFRS

  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and audit management

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate results effectively to senior management

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of accounting professionals

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Willing to work on a night shift or partial night shift depending on the arrangement with client
